Users
Choice Awards Press Release
Scottsdale, Ariz. - September 9, 2002
SalesLogix,
Best Softwares industry leader in small business and
mid-market customer relationship management (CRM), today
announced that it has been named a Gold Award winner in
The Fourth Annual Users Choice Awards, sponsored by RealMarket.
SalesLogix received the Gold Award in the CRM Suite
Mid-Market category.
Gold Awards were issued for products or services that scored
highest in their category, had widespread voting, and had
at least three competitor products that also received broad
support. These criteria ensure that Gold Award winners stand
alone atop a competitive field.
We are thrilled to be named the top mid-market CRM
suite by the sales, support, and marketing representatives
that use SalesLogix on a daily basis, said Tim Fargo,
SalesLogix general manager for Best Softwares CRM
Division. CRM is successful in the mid-market and
this award recognizes our leadership and ability to understand
and address the unique needs of small and mid-size organizations
for CRM solutions.
The Users Choice Awards are the only such program in which
CRM products are judged by the end-user. There were 80 product
entries in a total of 25 categories including: CRM Suite
Mid-Market, Help Desk/Service Desk, Sales Tools,
and Outsourcing.
At the DCI Customer Relationship Management Conference &
Expo held August 28 - 30, 2002, awards were presented by
Gary Lemke, president of RealMarket, and special guest presenters
Greg Oxton, executive director for The Consortium for Service
Innovation, and Ron Muns, founder and chairman of the Help
Desk Institute.
It takes more than just a good product to create happy
customers, said Lemke. These winners are obviously
doing a number of things well to receive high praise from
their customers.

How
do new groups get their layout?
When
you are creating a new C/A/O group, it's default "layout"
(which columns are displayed and the order and width of
each column) is determined by the corresponding "Latest"
group for each type. (i.e. The layout in the group "Latest
Contacts" determines the layout for all new groups.)
Therefore, if you have a certain field that you want to
see in all new groups (or a field you don't ever want to
see), change the "Latest" group and all new groups
that you build will have that layout. To apply this change
for all users, go into the Architect and update the release
of the group after you change it.
